Q: Agent Reed, thanks for sitting down with me.

Of course! Happy to. It's Johnny, by the way. Or Agent Reed. Either is fine. Whichever you... yeah. Johnny's fine.

Q: You're new to Mars. First impressions?

Honestly? The precinct coffee is better than anyone warned me. The dust storms are worse. And everybody here talks to their wrist comms like the comms owe them money.

Q: You've been assigned a new partner. How's that going?

Great! Really great. She's... intense. In a good way. Mostly a good way. She let me have a donut on day one, which I'm told is historic.

Q: I heard there's a nameplate at the precinct. Suwalski. What happened to him?

You know, funny thing, I asked the exact same question. And people just kind of... chuckle. Nobody actually answers. Tim said I was either brave or stupid for taking this assignment and I still don't know which one he meant.

Q: Which one do you think he meant?

I think I'd like to change the subject.

Q: Last question. Do you trust your partner?

With my life. It's everyone around her I'm worried about.
